Bio

I began my counseling career in New Orleans working in an agency as a counselor for  children and adolescents, their parents, and victims of violence.  After moving to Los Angeles to be with my husband, I spent two years working with children who had been diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorders.  I also spent time in Los Angeles working with children and adolescents in the foster care system and the probation system.  After moving to Austin, I focused my practice on working with women experiencing depression, anxiety, and relationship issues.

In 2013 my family and I relocated to Switzerland. We spent the better part of three years adjusting to the expat lifestyle, picking up French, and trying to visit as many mountain peaks as our little Subaru could climb.

I am thrilled to be back in Austin and back in private practice.

Outside of the office, my passion is in working with postpartum mothers and their families.  In partnership with several other Austin area working mothers, I established the Pregnancy and Postpartum Health Alliance of Texas in 2010 to serve the peripartum community and to fill in some of the gaps left by the closing of Family Connections.
